T. Lee Baumann, M.D. is the author of God at the Speed of Light: The Melding of Science and Spirituality, Window to God: A Physician's Spiritual Pilgrimage, and, in 2006, The Akashic Light,
all by A.R.E. Press ($15, Virginia Beach, VA). Dr. Baumann is a medical
consultant in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to his years in private
practice, Baumann has been a medical administrator and a biology
instructor. He holds medical certifications in internal medicine,
geriatrics, and medical management.
Beginning
his spiritual journey as a religious sceptic in the 1970's, Dr. Baumann
now writes books defending spirituality, based upon the incredible link
between worldwide descriptions of God and the proven, scientific nature
of physical Light. For instance, the major religious texts of the world
all describe God in terms of Light. Near-death experiences describe
going to a light that is welcoming, intelligent, and loving. Science
and physics experiments suggest that Light is omnipresent (everywhere),
omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent, and is conscious. Could it be
that light and God are one and the same? Lee Baumann makes a case for
exactly that. From many sources, Baumann has synthesized a compelling
picture of what may be the true nature of our universe at all levels -
physical, mental, and spiritual. Incredibly, Light appears to be the
common element linking all religions.
