Ann Frances Ellis
TOWARD THE LIGHT
~ Sunday, 18 November 2007 ~

Dr. Ann Frances Ellis received her Ph. D. from Sancta Sophia Seminary in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and a Master of Science from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Her doctoral dissertation was entitled Profound Love as Revealed by Near-Death Experiences.

Her interest in Near-Death Experiences began in 1980 when she heard Elisabeth Kübler-Ross speak. Although Dr. Ellis had had a mystical experience, she had never heard people talk about the reality of afterlife, and she had never shared her mystical experience with anyone.

Her own encounter with mortality turned her life in a different direction. Following two surgeries in 1988, while continuing to work as a Computer Specialist Supervisor for the U.S. Dept. of Navy, she began volunteering and eventually interning as a hospital and hospice chaplain.

Dr. Ellis began attending annual conferences of the International Association for Near-Death Studies in 1995 and has heard many first-person accounts of afterlife from speakers and attendees. She served as an IANDS Board member and now facilitates an IANDS Group in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She used 480 narratives from the IANDS Experience Archives for her doctoral dissertation.

Now retired from the Navy Department, Dr. Ellis pursues her research interests in Near-Death Experiences and Native American Studies.

It was so much fun sharing my research on your show! I only hope that one life was touched by it in a positive way. It means so much to me to have the opportunity to share this incredible information with others. Thank you for affording the opportunity.
Blessings, Ann (Oklahoma)

Juliet, Another great show tonight. Thanks and keep up the good work! ~ Chris Owen (Maine)
